February 2017: We have completed our fifth prototype of Tactile! This is the first prototype in which our camera and refreshable braille display is fully integrated. The size of our braille cell has shrunk down to 4x the standard size. We are continuing to scale down our cells and improve our text recognition system

December 2016: We are listed as one of the 2016 Global Thinkers by the Foreign Policy Magazine. Our team was invited in D.C. to accept our award and meet other inspirational Global Thinkers from around the world

August 2016: We have been selected to be a part of Microsoft's Patent Program. Tactile is on its way to be patented

May 2016: We have have received an additional $10,000 development grant from the MIT Sandbox Innovation Fund. We look forward to the mentorship provided by the Sandbox community

April 2016: We are excited to announce that Tactile has been award a $10,000 grant from the MIT Ideas Global Challenge to continue development. Thank you!
